T5W Feb. 10th – Books You Were Spoiled For

T5W Feb 10

Hello everyone!

I am here today to do another Top 5 Wednesday.

Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey from gingerreadslainey (YouTube, Goodreads) and if you would like to join, here is the link for the Goodreads group with all the information.

This week’s topic is Top 5 books you were spoiled for. I’m usually pretty good at making sure I’m not spoiled for anything. But sometimes because I’m the kind of reader that tries to stay behind the hype (read wayy wayyy after the hype comes down) I get spoiled for big or small plot points and things. So I picked 5 books that I have been spoiled for more than one thing.

SO let’s get started!

#5: The Raven Cycle
by Maggie Stiefvater

I mentioned the entire series name above because I’m not really sure what book in the series was spoiled for me. Which says a lot about the fandom on tumblr haha. I think it’s a major plot point and reason for debate in the books and it sucks that I know already because it could make me less connected to the characters when I do read it.

#4: The Selection
by Kiera Cass

I mean there is absolutely no way that I wouldn’t find out what guy this girl ends up with at the end of the trilogy. It’s impossible! Between the fans and all the promo for the later books,  you’re a voodoo specialist if you have not had this information stored into your brain. But that’s okay.

#3: Harry Potter
by J.K. Rowling

Again, inevitable. Between the huge fandom, the years these books have been out and the movies, there is no way to not know what happens in this entire series. And I can’t  even be mad about it because it has been so many years since this was first release. I just hope that when I do read it (first book this month) knowing the basic things that happen, don’t take away from my enjoyment.

#2: Red Queen
by Victoria Aveyard

This wound was self-inflicted. I made the decision to watch Lainey’s review and discussion for this book because I wasn’t 100% I wanted to read it and I was curious to know why she rated it one star. Basically she gave a lot of things away and I’ve decided not to read this,

#1: Allegiant
by Veronica Roth

One of the most infuriating spoiled moments of my life! And so unlikely! I was spoiled by a friend of mine at school, here in Venezuela where to be honest, most people have no idea this book exists. What are the chances?! I was spoiled like a month and a half before my grandma was able to bring me to hardcover from the US and I was devastated. Still am because so do no agree with this ending.

So that’s it for my choices this week! Let me know what books you have been spoiled for but don’t spoil them for me. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you on my next post!
