Time for another Top 5 Wednesday. Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey from gingerreadslainey and is now hosted by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes and if you would like to join, here is the link for the Goodreads group with all the information.
This week’s theme is Authors You’d Like to Meet at BEA/BookCon. Unfortunately, I will not be attending either of these events but I’m hopeful that some day I will be. However, Sam mentioned that you could pick who you would’ve liked to meet if you did go.
SO let’s get started!
#5: Sharon Cameron
I really enjoyed Sharon’s book Rook which came out last year. I haven’t really talked about it much on my blog except for the review I shared when I first started it. But it’s one of my all time favorite standalones and she’ll be signing ARCs of her new book at BEA and I SO wish I could be there. The Forgetting sounds amazing.
#4: Maggie Stiefvater
I’ve been a fan of Maggie for awhile, but I haven’t read one of her books in a long time. I am a huge fan of her Wolves of Mercy Falls series though I haven’t finished it yet and I’m hoping to read the entire Raven Cycle this month (don’t quote me on that). And she also seems super awesome with how she interacts on Twitter so I would love to meet her.
#3: Tahereh Mafi
First of all, can I just say that this woman is gorgeous? I absolutely love her style and the fashion shoots she shares. However, I really want to meet her because I LOVED her writing style in Shatter Me and I am super excited for her new book. Those people getting ARCs are super lucky because it looks amazing.
#2: Zoraida Cordova
Zoraida is the author of one of my favorite New Adult series and I am so excited for her new book! Labyrinth Lost looks amazing and she’s signing at BEA. I was super sad that I didn’t get approved for an e-ARC but I’m still super excited for the book to come out. She’s awesome!
#1: Sarah J. Maas
I’ve read every book that Sarah has published up until now and I’ve pretty much loved all of them. I’m really excited for the fifth Throne of Glass book to come out and I’d love to have even a simple conversation with her. I’ve heard some not so good things about her fan interactions but I’m just a hopeful kind of gal.
So that’s it for my choices this week! Let me know if you’re going to BEA so I can exclaim about how lucky you are! I’d love to know what kind of authors you’re hoping to see, whether you’re going or not. Thanks so much for reading and I’ll see you on my next post!
