“Sentimientos in Waves” Collection Series – Baila, Amor, Baila

Hey ya’ll!

This post is the second of three poetry pieces that I am sharing for this collection! For this assignment, we were asked to play with form and to create something more visually unconventional. I have a general idea of what I hope my poem visual looks like, but I would love to know your thoughts on it either way! Tell me what you think of the form and the content. I really hope you all enjoy this piece!

Let’s get started!

Baila, amor, baila

The rhythm sets my feet on fire

Drops of sweat kiss my cheeks, hug on my neck

Ripples of conga beats rattle my bones

The trumpets shout, but

the guitar whispers

Baila.

Hard chest to supple waist

Fists clenched on satin fabric

Our friction ignites heat

Hotter, brighter, stronger

Your thighs tremble, my hips sway

Pulsing lights carry you to ecstasy

Our touch: lightning

our eyes whisper

Baila.

So that’s it for this post! Please let me know what you think in the comments! I really hope you all enjoyed it 🙂
