“Sentimientos in Waves” Collection Series – The One with the Prison Break

Hey ya’ll!

In case you missed the announcement last week, today I am sharing some creative writing from a class I took last semester. I am pretty proud of them though I am definitely really nervous to be sharing it on such a big platform (even though not a lot of people read this blog anymore haha).

For this first post, I am sharing my first fiction piece for the class. It is a young adult, urban fantasy short story with a wacky voice and ending! Honestly, I don’t think this is my best but those who have read it before y’all say it’s entertaining! I hope you like it 😊 let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Let’s get started!

On Writing, Emotions and Sharing Yourself: “Sentimientos in Waves” Collection Series

Hey ya’ll!

I’m sharing something new today which is kind of nerve wracking so I hope ya’ll go easy on me. For my last semester of my community college career, I took a creative writing class. It was one of the most intense and exposing experiences of my life. I was terrified the entire time because I had never really given writing a shot and I wanted to do well!

With that being said, I will be sharing the assignments I did for this class with you all!

SO let’s get started!

July ’20 Wrap Up

Hey ya’ll!

It’s a little later than I have been posting the last few months, but I’m still here! This past month wasn’t the greatest when it came to reading but there’s a lot of different reasons for that which I’m going to share right now. I am just super happy to be able to say I’ve been posting my wrap ups consistently at least haha. I hope you are all doing well and I can’t wait to see what you all have read in July.

SO let’s get started!

June ’20 Wrap Up

Hey ya’ll!

It’s the end of another month and I am still here! Who would’ve thunk it? haha. This past month has been a bit challenging for me but I still tried to keep reading as big as a priority as I could. I also participated in the Olympic Games Readathon and I managed to read two books for the mandatory challenges and one for an advanced challenge that doesn’t really count for the teams but it’s okay! haha. I had a great time with it and I hope the readathon continues in the next few years. I also managed to read a few others books that I can’t wait to tell you all about!

SO let’s get started!

Olympic Games Readathon TBR: Team Poseidon

Hello everyone!

I am here today for something kind of new. I haven’t shared a TBR in a really long time and I haven’t participated in a readathon in even longer than that. But when this particular one popped up on my Twitter feed, I could not help myself and knew I had to be a part of it!

The Olympic Games Readathon is hosted by booktuber Ishi Time along with some other cohosts. It is based on the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan and readers get to experience life as a camper! Check out the YouTube video link for more information if you’d like to join in on the fun. I will also share the Twitter and Instagram!

SO let’s get started!

May ’20 Wrap Up

Hey ya’ll!

I am super happy that I’m managing to make this post on time again! I’ve been feeling really good about how I’ve been reintegrating myself into blogging like I’ve wanted for the last three years. I can’t wait to chat with you all about what’s been going on this last month in all parts of my life.

Late ’19 and Early ’20 Wrap Up

Hey ya’ll!

It has been seven months since I last posted on this blog. That sounds really bad, BUT! The time before that, it had been a year since I post it so I call that progress my friends! I am here today to share another wrap up with you since it’s been such a long time. I am currently quarantined as I’m sure most of us are, but because of that, I’ve been able to read a lot more than I have in the last few years. With that said, I wanted to let you all know that I’m gonna try to post monthly wrap ups here and maybe a review of two, but I don’t think I’ll have the time to really engage fully with this platform of mine. I’m looking for a happy medium with another place where I’ve been able to be more consistent and I will keep ya’ll up to date if you’d like to continue to hear my bookish thoughts!

SO let’s get started!

April ’20 Wrap Up

Hey ya’ll!

Look! I’m on time! haha. I am now managing to share one post a month! That was my plan for 2019 and it took me a year, but I got it done! I’ve been so happy to start making my little internet space my home again. I wanted to share, in case you didn’t know, I’ve become much more active in my bookstagram during my little blogging hiatus. If you’re on that platform, check out my account with the same name and let’s chat there!

Also, just to add a little disclaimer, my read count for the year is much higher than the books I include in this wrap up because I read a lot of things for college that I count towards my goal but don’t chat about here. Because, you know, I can haha.

SO let’s get started!

Late ’18 and Early ’19 Wrap Up

Hey ya’ll!

As you can see by the title, it’s been a really long time since I have shared a wrap up post. Surprisingly, I don’t really have that many books to share. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a substancial amount but it’s definitely not as much as it would’ve been a few years ago. College is still restricting my free reading time but I did manage to read some things in the last few months and I can’t want to share my thoughts with ya’ll!

SO let’s get started!

I’M BACK! (Again) | Freadom Library in (Late) 2019

Hey ya’ll!

Long time, no see, right? I know, I have been super MIA. Life has been a crazy roller-coaster for me the last two years. I’ve been completely submerged in college and work and haven’t quite gotten the hang of balancing everything well which is why this blog has been inactive.

I had another post just like this in 2018 where I talked about the direction my blog was going to go in that year but I didn’t actually end up following through with all of those plans. Life ramped up again like it tends to do and I never got around to posting anything more than some TBRs and Wrap Ups.

My goal is and has always been to do my best to keep up with all the things that make me happy and that I want to do in life. Blogging is one of those things and I hope to be able to get back into a rhythm here this year.

With all that being said, I’m so happy to be back!

This next (half) of the year is going to be super low key. I’ll be posting when I can, mostly book reviews and wrap ups. The occasional feature will pop up and maybe some discussions. I want to make sure that I don’t put a lot of pressure on myself to post like I used to because I know that I can’t keep up with those volumes of posts.

I hope I still have some followers around and I’d love to reconnect with you!

Thank you for reading and I hope to see you soon 🙂
